Another place we got to visit while in CA was the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. It's a really wonderful and huge aquarium, and has lots of hands on stuff. The kids got to touch (or try to touch), some rays, sand sharks, starfish, anemones, and more! Imagine - Luke will reach his hand into a pool of rays and sharks (harmless, but still), but was absolutely terrified of my mom's cat!
