Little Buckets of Happiness...

So... after saying I wouldn't, I decided to paint in our apartment. I've got two rooms down, and I'm so glad we're doing it... it really makes a difference in the feeling of our house. At least for me. And most other women. Men usually don't notice these things, or care! I love that I still ask Dan questions like, "Did you see so-and-so's dining table (you know, the one we ate at)? And her curtains were pretty, too. Did you like them?" His reply goes something like, "Oh, they had a table and curtains?"
Even though things like painting are not on the top of his wish list, he knows they're on mine, and he's nice enough to let me have my painting party even though I said I wouldn't. :) Lucky for him, I'm kind of a perfectionist control freak (okay, maybe that's not lucky for him), so I don't mind doing the painting. Secretly, I kind of enjoy it... at least the first couple rooms. So he's off the hook except for keeping the kids out of my hair while I work. And the paint was cheap - $12.50/gallon!
So yay, I get to paint! Funny how a little thing like wall color can make a place feel more like home.

I'm sure it looks wonderful! Did you do something creative like your stripes...or did you just do a solid color this time?
